Brandi L. Small is a seasoned attorney and dedicated child advocate who has actively practiced law since earning her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2011. As the founder and principal of Small Law Firm, LLC in Columbia, South Carolina, Ms. Small concentrates her legal practice primarily in Family Law, including Guardian ad Litem appointments, divorce, custody matters, and DSS defense. In addition, she represents clients in personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, trucking cases, premises liability, burn, and electrical injury claims, and works with clients on Estate Planning.
Ms. Small practices alongside her husband, Samuel Small, Esq., who is both her partner in law and her partner in life. Together, they form a legal team dedicated to serving their community with integrity, compassion, and a strong commitment to client advocacy.
Before embarking on her full-time legal career, Ms. Small developed a strong foundation in education, serving for years as a middle school teacher with a specialization in French. Her passion for children and education was deepened when her eldest son was diagnosed with Autism in 2014, an experience that profoundly shaped her understanding of child advocacy.
In addition to her private legal practice, Ms. Small has significant experience in legal document analysis, having served as a Legal Document Analyst for HireCounsel. She also gained litigation support experience as a law clerk for both Willson, Jones, Carter & Baxley, PA, and Rogers, Townsend & Thomas, PC.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Small is devoted to her family. She and her husband Samuel are the proud parents of four: their eldest son Samuel, their only daughter Samiya, and twin boys Bradley and Braxton.

Samuel A. Small, Jr, Esq

Samuel A. Small, Jr. is a dynamic attorney, educator, minister, and dedicated child advocate whose career has seamlessly integrated multiple disciplines. Licensed to practice law in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama, Mr. Small actively serves as a Guardian ad Litem across multiple South Carolina circuits, including the 5th, 9th, 11th, and 13th Circuits. He also serves as a contract attorney for Richland County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), representing volunteer Guardians ad Litem in abuse and neglect cases concerning children.
Mr. Small's passion for children is deeply rooted both professionally and personally. His personal advocacy began when his eldest son was diagnosed with Autism in 2014. Today, he applies this same dedication and perspective to his work in the family court system, as well as in Personal Injury and Estate Planning matters.
Prior to practicing law full-time, Mr. Small devoted years to public education as a French teacher in Lexington County School District One and Richland School District Two, teaching across all grade levels including International Baccalaureate programs at Richland Northeast High School. He earned his Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University and holds a Tier 1 Principal Certification with the South Carolina Department of Education.
Mr. Small earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2011. His legal career includes work as a Legal Document Analyst with HireCounsel, and law clerk experience with Murphy & Grantland, PA and the Law Office of Tricia Blanchette.
Mr. Small has also served his community through ministry at Word Alive Worship Center, where he has provided life counseling, taught Bible study, led the Praise Team, and helped guide the youth and children's ministries. He is the proud co-founder of Small Law Firm, LLC, where he practices alongside his wife and law partner, Brandi L. Small, Esq. Together, they are the proud parents of four.
